GARMENT CARE GUIDE
Here are a few tips on how to care for your vintage clothes to keep them in your wardrobe for a long time:
- Decipher the labels on vintage pieces and be very careful when washing and ironing
- Pay attention to the material of the clothes before washing, if in doubt wash by hand
- For your wool sweaters, it is better to wash them by hand in a big basin of water and soap, then rub on the problem areas + dry flat
- Take coats and jackets to the dry cleaners, they will come out as new
- Iron the clothes with a steamer, it’s much more delicate and efficient
- Remove pilling with a special device
- Keep the clothes in a dry and airy place, avoid direct light which could damage your vintage pieces
And here are some tips to maintain your vintage luxury bags:
- Store your vintage bag in a dust bag away from light
- Store your bag without crushing it, the best is to hang it on a hanger in your closet
- Clean the bag with Marseille soap and with a soft brush or a toothbrush rub the parts where the stains are visible
- Apply body lotion or make-up remover on the leather parts of the bag with absorbent cotton, rub gently
