A Moment of Calm Before the Music: at dawn Fête de la Musique Lounge
A glimpse into the first edition of our Fête de la Musique lounge.
Every June 21, Paris transforms into an energetic, outdoor music festival for the annual Fête de la Musique. But before the streets filled with crowds and sound systems, we wanted to offer something different: a moment to pause, gather, and ease into the celebration.
Looking back on our at dawn FDLM Lounge, here is how a simple idea in a team brainstorming session became an intentional sanctuary in the heart of the city.
The Vision: A Pre-Festival Sanctuary
The concept started with a single question during our event planning:
"What kind of space would we actually want to be in before the city comes alive?"
Taking inspiration from the relaxed, grounding atmosphere of festival lounges, we set out to build a space focused on slowing down rather than jumping straight into the noise. The at dawn FDLM Lounge was designed as a thoughtful prelude to the day, a place where our community could meet, unwind, listen to curated music, and connect before stepping out into the city's lively evening.
Good Music, Great Bites, and Great Company
To bring the lounge experience to life, we collaborated with partners who shared our passion for quality and hospitality:
-
Maslow Group & LaCrèma: Crafted delicious bites and sweet treats that set a warm, welcoming mood throughout the day.
-
Good Sodas™: Provided refreshing drinks to keep everyone cool as the summer afternoon unfolded.
Between the laid-back soundscape, thoughtful refreshments, and great conversation, the afternoon captured the exact ease and warmth we had envisioned.
Looking Ahead
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who spent their June 21 afternoon with us, and to our partners for making this sanctuary possible. Gathering with our community in such an intentional way reminds us why we love creating these spaces.
We are already working on the next concepts, we can't wait to share more moments like this with you soon.
